What is DTF?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are printed designs that can be heat pressed onto apparel. The design is printed on a special film, coated with adhesive powder, and cured so it’s ready to press onto your garment with a heat press. DTF transfers produce vibrant colors and work on many types of fabrics.
DTF Transfer Pressing Instructions.
- Give the garment a quick pre-press to smooth out any wrinkles and remove any moisture.
- Lay the transfer in place, right side up.
- Press at 300 degrees Fahrenheit with medium to heavy pressure for 15 seconds.
- Peel the transfer, then cover with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper and give it one last press for 5 seconds to lock it in.
Spangle Transfer Pressing Instructions

Does DTF only work on fabric?
Surprisingly, no! You can use DTF on various heat-resistant surfaces such as wood, cardboard, acrylic, and leather.
